U.S. Marshals seized hundreds of bottles of Kirkman’s HypoAllergenic Taurine Capsules after FDA determined that these merchandise made unsubstantiated claims to treat autism, a neurobehavioral disorder that begins in early childhood. In accordance with the Act, Health Charm Blood all dietary complement merchandise’ labeling must be truthful and not misleading and Health Charm Blood may not make any claims that the product will cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent illness. FDA will proceed to establish and take appropriate enforcement actions against fraudulently marketed dietary complement products that make unsubstantiated medical claims in their labeling. The seizure occurred after FDA determined that these merchandise claimed to treat a wide range of medical circumstances. Additionally, FDA had no information to indicate that the products have been typically acknowledged as secure and efficient for their meant use
